The Kadeem Jack situation has fluctuated as wildly as the stock market in recent weeks.
Initially, the 6-foot-9 Rice High School product said he was considering Arizona, Arkansas, Miami and UConn.
Then he opted to attend prep school at South Kent (Conn.)
Once Kentucky and North Carolina became involved, he said he would visit those schools.
Now he’s back to saying he will attend South Kent.
“Yea,” Jack wrote Monday by text.
**6-7 forward Karron Johnson says he’s decommitted from Oklahoma State.
“Karron wants to open back up his recruitment. He does not want to attend Oklahoma State,” James Black, Johnson’s mentor, said in a phone message.
Johnson spent this past season at Moberly (Mo.) Area Community College where he was voted NJCAA Region 16 Player of the Year.
A native of Richmond, Va., Johnson played in 24 games and missed three due to a suspension for violating team rules. He led the region by averaging 22 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.
**Jordan Goodman, a 6-9 Maryland power forward who has reclassified to the Class of 2012, has decommitted from Georgetown and will visit Rutgers June 3-4, Scout.com reported.
“He committed to Georgetown because of Dave Cox,” DC Assault coach Damon Handon said in a phone interview, referring to the new associate head coach at Rutgers. “Dave Cox is at Rutgers now.”
Handon said Goodman, who has attended multiple high schools and will not return to Progressive (Md.) Christian next season, had definitely reclassified to the Class of 2012 from 2011.
“He’ll be 2012,” Handon said.
Handon said Goodman can be an impact player wherever he lands.
“He’s a very good player,” Handon said. “He’s 6-9. He can play on the perimeter. His potential is endless. He definitely would have to work over these next couple of years, but the kid has a chance to be a special player.”
**6-7 French national Remi Barry of Del Oro (Calif.) High School will visit St. John’s either the first or second weekend of June, following visits to St. Mary’s and Arizona State. He recently visited UCLA as well.
**Carrick Felix, a 6-5 small forward from the College of Southern Idaho, has asked for a release from his Letter of Intent to Duke.
Duke spokesman Matt Plizga confirmed Monday by text that Duke will grant the release, but that the paperwork had yet to be completed.
Felix averaged 14.8 points and 4.7 rebounds last season at Southern Idaho.

About time Kadeem realized where he’s going. This saga was beginning to get to the level of TJones.
He needs another year before entering college, and South Kent will help him out a lot.
Best of luck to ya, KJ.

This gives him a year to find a loophole that’ll allow him to play at St. John’s in 2011-12.

why would he need a loophole?

Rice coach Moe Hicks is on St. John’s coaching staff.
I think the poster above is saying that since the NCAA came up with a rule requiring a school to wait 2 years to add a player/coach from the same high school.

**school, he wouldn’t be able to go to St. John’s.
If KJ matures as expected, he would have better options than St. John’s anyway.
If Zona, UCONN, Arkansas, and Miami were in on this kid with very little playing experience, watch for him to get more heavily recruited with a year of prep school.

Why on Earth would he want to play at St. John’s? Their hay day was before he was born. Just curious.

Kadeem Jack is still a child in a mans body yet. Look Jack stop playing around and just stay in South Kent because by know people in Arizona, North Carolina, and UConn, already know that your still a child who just likes to play head games and that is it. Trust me little man, top schools like UA or UConn will never go after you again and you can count on that kid. Plus you really are overrated and it’s a blessing that UA or North Carolina did not get your sorry ass. So long sucker.
