Erin Andrews Will Attend UNC-RU Game, Will Obama?

Erin Andrews will be at the Rutgers-North Carolina game on 9/11. Will Barack Obama?

Andrews will be a sideline reporter, helping out ESPN talents Chris Fowler, Craig James and Jesse Palmer.

Meantime, rumors are swirling at Rutgers that Democractic Presidential nominee Barack Obama might attend the game. Obama and Republican nominee John McCain will be in New York for a 9/11 event that day.

Yet campaign officials at Obama’s New Jersey headquarters said they didn’t have the Senator’s schedule that far out and could not comment at this point.

“We don’t comment on his schedule,” said Andrew Poag, Communications Director for Obama’s New Jersey campaign.

Rutgers is 0-1, coming off a nationally televised 24-7 loss to Fresno State on Sept. 1. The North Carolina game will also be on ESPN.

In memory of the 9/11 attacks, mini-American flags will be distributed to fans as they enter the gates and soldiers from the New Jersey National Guard will be on hand to present the colors and sing the National Anthem. There will be a moment of silence before the game.
