Gaddy Down to 2; Bradley Down to Texas, UCLA

Abdul Gaddy began an official visit with his mother to UCLA Thursday morning and is down to the Bruins and Arizona, according to his travel team coach Garry Ward.

“His visit is just beginning this morning,” Ward said by phone. “He flew in last night and all he could do was have dinner. I’m going to talk to (UCLA assistant) Scott Duncan this morning.”

Asked if Gaddy, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound point guard from Bellarmine (Wash.) Prep, might verbally commit during the visit, Ward said: “They’re going to have to impress him. I think it’s 55-45, Arizona. Two great schools. They kind of play similar styles. They play in the same conference. They’re both close to home. May the best man win.”

Gaddy will official to Arizona next weekend. He previously committed to the Wildcats but decommitted because of coaching changes under Lute Olson.

“I believe he’s going back on an official vist next weekend,” Ward said of Arizona. “He took an unofficial the summer before his junior year. He and his dad are going to go for an official.”

Ward said Gaddy would decide soon.

“He wanted to decide before the season starts and before the calendar turns to October,” he said.

BRADLEY DOWN TO TEXAS, UCLA

In other Bellarmine-related news, former Bellarmine guard Avery Bradley has transferred to Findlay Prep. He also told Jerry Meyer of Rivals that he is down to Texas and UCLA and will visit Texas Sept. 13.

“I really have a good relationship with the coaches at Texas,” said Bradley, who is the No. 8 ranked prospect in the Rivals150. “We are really close. I call them all the time.

“I also like the area it is in. Austin is a great city. When I went on my unofficial visit, I loved the city.

“Plus, they have a big opening at my position.”

Bradley is also close with Jordan Hamilton of Dominguez (Calif.) High, who is considering Texas.

“We do have a strong relationship,” Bradley told Rivals. “Jordan and me plan on going to school together.”
