Tiny Gallon Back to Oak Hill

Keith “Tiny” Gallon, a 6-9, 290-pound forward from Humble, Texas, says he’s going back to Oak Hill Academy instead of joining John Wall at Word of God Academy.

“I just wanted to, I thought about it,”  Gallon said in a text message.

Gallon had originally said he was going to transfer to Word of God in Raleigh, N.C after spending last season at Oak Hill Academy alongside Brandon Jennings. Oak Hill coach Steve Smith previously told me Gallon would not return there. Smith was not immediately available for comment, but Gallon said he had spoken with the coach about returning.

Gallon also says Oklahoma remains his leader, although UNLV, USC, UCLA and Cal are also in the mix.

Oak Hill is also bringing in Tommy-Mason Griffin, Doron Lamb (formerly of Bishop Loughlin) and 6-11 Baye Moussa Keita, a junior from Senegal who had eight rebounds in 19 minutes in the Jordan Brand Classic International Game played in April at Madison Square Garden. The Warriors will also return 6-7 senior Glenn Bryant.

Gallon recently played in Brazil alongside Xavier Henry and Mason-Griffin on a Nike select team that went undefeated.
