Terrence Jones, the No. 3 power forward in the Class of 2010 out of Portland (Ore.) Jefferson, is still open to any one of the five schools on his list.
“Nothing’s changed. We still have our five people and we’re going to wait until April,” his mother, Linda Mashia-Jones, said Sunday afternoon.
“Kentucky, Oregon, UCLA, Washington and Oklahoma,” she added.
Jones dropped 31 points and 7 blocks Saturday night, when Jefferson beat South Albany, 122-78, in an Oregon Class 5A boys basketball second-round playoff game.

He’s better off at UK. With his ability to shoot he’d thrive in their system, he’s also a 1 & done talent & UA doesn’t need that right now.

Ive seen him play on ESPNU earlier this year and Im not really sold on his overall ability to get to the basket. First off, I dont know If he Is a four because of his slender build but I cant say he Is a three because he definitely does not have the speed or first step to blow past defenders. Granted he has some touch when It comes to the 17 footer but until his body fills out and he gets that bounce in his legs I dont think he will adapt to the college game maybe until his sophmore year.

I’m not sure he’s a one and done, he’s super talented but i think two years at most would suit him better. And i think Anything can help UA right now. Even if he’s a one and done, it helps Miller in recruiting that he gets players in the NBA, something he didn’t do to often at Xavier

Ive seen him play 4 games in two days at a AAU tourney in gilbert AZ and this kid is scary talented and extremely versatile lefty. He plays a point forward and has three point range or can get to the rim with ease and he controlled the ball most of the game. This kid is a lottery pick for sure and I think Kentucky would be a great fit for him.1-2 year player is accurate.

Two reasons why we aren’t going after this kid…
1) We don’t have unlimited scholarships to give out like some of my fellow Zona fans seem to think.
and
2) We need a point guard. We have plenty of forwards we need to replace Nic Wise, that is our number 1 priority.

I know we don’t have unlimited scholies and we need a good PG, but if Selby/Lamb/Jack would all commit to Zona, i’m sure miller would find room for all of them. Why then not replace Jack with Jones or Selby if he commits to KU. Trust me, if we had Selby’s commitment and Lamb, which is already one over our limit, and Jones told Miller he wanted to come here, Miller is making room. Thats why i’m so confused why they haven’t made a push for him
