John Calipari Looking Forward to Bragging About Kentucky on ESPN on Draft Day

ESPN is giving John Calipari multiple platforms to discuss his players and his program ahead of Thursday’s NBA Draft — and Calipari loves it.

“Any chance I can to brag about my kids and they give me that opportunity, oh I’m bragging about my guys,” Calipari said Tuesday on a conference call that lasted nearly 40 minutes.

Kentucky has three players projected to be drafted in projected lottery picks Jamal Murray and Skal Labissiere, as well as sophomore point guard Tyler Ulis. Senior forward Alex Poythress is also in the draft but does not appear on the DraftExpress.com Mock Draft.

“I’m excited to see where these four kids go,” Calipari said.

Calipari, who recently appeared to take shots at both Louisville coach Rick Pitino and Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski, will be at ESPN on the day of the NBA Draft, first joining Mike & Mike (8 a.m. to 10 a.m.), followed by First Take (10 a.m. to 11 a.m.), SportsCenter (11 a.m. hour), His & Hers (noon), and Highly Questionable (4:30 p.m.).

In addition to Calipari, Mike & Mike will also have Minnesota Timberwolves’ Karl Anthony Towns, the first overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft and the 2015-16 NBA Rookie of the Year in-studio.
