The Knicks could be without not one, but two forwards for Saturday’s game in Washington.
Jared Jeffries underwent an MRI on his right knee Friday morning that revealed a bone bruise. He is questionable for the Wizards game.
Al Harrington has a sore left knee and is also questionable.
Jeffries left the first quarter of New York’s 106-104 loss to Toronto Thursday night.
“It kept getting worse and worse through the course of the first half so like I said when I came in for halftime, I just couldn’t get it loose at halftime,” Jeffries said Thursday.
He said the knee had been bothering him for a week and a half or two weeks.
If Jeffries is forced to miss any length of time, it could really hurt the Knicks (18-27), who have lost seven of their last 10.
“It’s definitely going to hurt us. Jared’s a big part of what we do, especially defensively. He’s our leader on defense so we’re going to need him and need everybody we can get,” David Lee said.
Harrington took the last shot of the game, a driving layup that misfired. He later said he couldn’t stop because of his knee.
