Oak Hill Academy guard Doron Lamb has cut his list to four schools.
The 6-foot-4 Lamb, a Queens, N.Y. native ranked No. 3 among shooting guards in the Class of 2010, is considering West Virginia, Kentucky, Kansas and Arizona.
UConn and Oklahoma had previously been in the mix.
The news was first reported by BlueGoldNews.com.
Lamb scored 20 points Saturday when Oak Hill downed Decatur (Ga.) Columbia, 63-56, in the Primetime Shootout at the West Virginia Coliseum.
He then watched as West Virginia came from behind to beat Ohio State, 71-65.
“He met with the coaches. His mom and dad met with the coaches down in West Virginia,” Oak Hill coach Steve Smith said. “So he probably made an unofficial visit during his trip down there.”
Lamb played on the New York Gauchos with current West Virginia freshman Danny Jennings, and the Mounties roster features several other New York-area players in Devin Ebanks, Kevin Jones and Darryl “Truck” Bryant.
He has taken visits to Kansas, Kentucky and, most recently, Arizona.
Lamb previously said he was looking for “a good coaching staff, a winning program and somewhere that I feel like home and I feel comfortable.”
Asked when he might decide, Lamb said, “Probably April.”

Good stuff.
Looks like D.Lamb is getting closer to his announced decision.
Also hearing alot of rumors about John C. (in the West.)
Is Smith looking?
PS-
Kevin P. is becoming known as Beat Down.
Sparked another beat down. This time on ASU.
The video is real nice.

Jessie,
Do the rest of AZ fans a favor put a knife through your carotid artery. You pollute more than LA traffic.

Kansas is not a good fit for any guard at this point. Xavier Henry and Collins are the only guards leaving after the season (leaving many more guards), unless Taylor actually transfers. So i wonder why a top recruit would choose a guard heavy Kansas over what will be a thin guard poole at Kentucky or Arizona/West Virginia where they would be THE best player, other that the fact that Kansas is a very good program?

I keep hearing that KU is guard heavy and maybe as a KU fan I’m blinded on this topic, but I just don’t see it. With Collins graduating and Taylor possibly transferring there would appear to be minutes to go around. Elijah Johnson will most likely have first crack at PG (unless Self lands Knight or Selby) and I can’t possibly see how Lamb wouldn’t get lots of playing time vs Reed and Morningstar. X plays more of a #3 spot and I can see Releford and Little (both redshirting) playing more of that role next year. Obviously, the other three programs do appear to be thinner at that position so that might be a determining factor.
