Former Kansas forward Cheick Diallo worked out for the Atlanta Hawks on Monday and a source said Diallo “impressed” the franchise.
Atlanta picks at No. 21 in the June 23rd NBA Draft.
DraftExpress.com currently has Diallo going No. 25 to the Clippers.
The 6-foot-9 Mali native impressed NBA officials at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, and then signed with agent Bill Duffy.
“I didn’t get to show that much in college because of the NCAA thing but I show everybody I can run the floor, block shots and protect the rim,” Diallo said at the Combine.
On Tuesday, the Hawks are slated to work out Kentucky guard Isaiah Briscoe, Villanova guard Josh Hart and former St. Joe’s wing DeAndre’ Bembry. Both underclassmen have not signed with agents and have until Wednesday’s deadline to withdraw and return to campus.
