NEW YORK — Lance Stephenson’s return to Madison Square Garden began with a chorus of boos and ended with a disastrous turnover in the final seconds that led to two game-winning foul shots by St. John’s guard Dwight Hardy.
With Cincinnati and St. John’s tied at 50 with 7.6 seconds remaining, Stephenson tried an in-bounds pass to teammate Deonta Vaughn under the Cincinnati basket.
But Hardy alertly cut in front of Vaughn, stole the ball and was fouled by Dion Dixon.

I guess the statement by the AD puts to rest any ill advised rumors that Norm was going to get fired. This is probably one of his best starts since he’s got the job.
