Marcus Lee Says Kentucky Will Go Undefeated If He Returns

CHICAGO — Marcus Lee hasn’t yet decided if he will return to Kentucky, but if he does he believes the Wildcats will go undefeated.

“Our team would be amazing,” he said here Thursday at the NBA Draft Combine, according to Kyle Tucker. “I honestly don’t think we’ll lose at all next year if I return.”

If Lee does return, Kentucky will be even more loaded in the frontcourt. They return Derek Willis, Isaac Humphries and Tai Wynyard and bring in Bam Adebayo, Wenyen Gabriel and Sacha Killeya-Jones.

Kentucky coach John Calipari said this week he believes the 6-foot-10 Lee will remain in the Draft, but Lee says he’s not sure.

“We’ll probably get that figured out in the next couple days,” Lee said. “I see it at a solid maybe 85 percent, 87 percent right now. Still have a couple more things to do, get a little more feedback, and see where I am.”

Kentucky remains in the mix for Marques Bolden, who has yet to decide between Duke and Kentucky.
