Point Guards Frank Jackson, Alterique Gilbert Exit Jordan Brand Classic With Injuries

NEW YORK — Two high-level Division 1 point guards exited the Jordan Brand Classic Friday night with injuries.

UConn-bound floor general Alterique Gilbert suffered a separated left shoulder and could miss approximately four weeks, West coach Sharman White confirmed to SNY.tv. White has separated the shoulder before, White said.

“Put back in place, doing much better,” White said.

Later, Duke-bound point guard Frank Jackson appeared to hit his head on the floor after crashing to the ground. He looked woozy when he stood up and was helped off the floor. His trainer, Ricky Norton, told @DukeNBA that Jackson suffered a concussion.

“He’s fine,” Norton told the site.
