Down Goes Sparty.

No. 15 Middle Tennessee State took out No. 2 Michigan State, 90-81, in the first round on Friday, sending the Internet into overdrive.

Michigan State was a trendy pick to reach the Final Four and possibly win the NCAA Tournament.

Middle Tennessee State became the eighth No. 15 to take out a No. 2 and the first since Florida Gulf Coast knocked out Georgetown in 2013.

A No. 1 seed has still never lost to a 16.
