Baltimore (Md.) Lake Clifton guard Josh Selby will announce his visit schedule on Wednesday, according to his mother.
After decommitting from Tennessee, Selby is looking at Baylor, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Miami and Syracuse.
“Yes, we are going to visit those schools,” Maeshon Witherspoon, Selby’s mother, wrote in a text.
Selby will visit Kansas this coming weekend for “Late Night in the Phog.”
“He will take an unofficial visit to KU for Midnight Madness,” Witherspoon said.
The visits will be unofficial because Selby has yet to take his SAT or ACT.
BOSTON UNIVERSITY LANDS PHILLY TRIO
Former Villanova assistant Patrick Chambers has scored with a trio of recruits from Philly Friends’ Central.
Boston University got commitments from 6-7 PF power forward Dom Morris, 6-4 G Travis Robinson and 5-8 point guard H.J. Gaskins.
“We decided all together,” Gaskins told Alex Schwartz of Northstar Basketball. “Trav, Dom, and I are family. There is no question about that. It’s beyond basketball. It just so happens we’re brothers both on and off the court.”
Robinson told Schwartz: “I loved the team and the facilities, and most of all, BU is a great academic school and can attend with two of my current teammates who are pretty much my brothers.”
Morris, who averaged 12 points and eight rebounds last year, was being recruited by Siena, Providence, Penn State and La Salle. Robinson averaged 12.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.0 blocks per game and also considered Robert Morris. Gaskins considered Harvard, according to Schwartz.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Great story here on Rumeal Robinson with this dandy:
[Rumeal Robinson] made more than $5 million in NBA salary alone, but blew much of it on a strip club habit that would have made Pacman Jones blush. “He would go on binges of two whole weeks where he spent $20,000 a night at a strip club,” Donald Barrows says. “Not only that, but he’d also have a bunch of the strippers come back to his place, get buck-naked, and clean his house for $500 or $1,000 each.”

I’ve held out hope that we’d get Selby because of the Charm City connection, but this news doesn’t look promising. Not only is Self getting Selby to visit Lawrence for their impressive Late Night in the Phog party, but he’s also getting him there on Selby’s own dime.
You’d have to think Cuse and Kentucky are looking up at Kansas in the Selby derby, at least at this point.

All those Kansas issues has created a www opportunity.
The Fights. (three fights which embarrassed the Univ.)
The disorderly conduct, Morningdrinking.
The car crash. Who really owns that Tahoe?

You’re confusing Kentucky with Kansas… WWW is a Kentucky booster.

JessieWildcat / October 13, 2009
Ben,
www is not a UK booster. He is a Cali-Booster…lol
www careless about UK.
www is also an Oregon booster.
Like I said, the door has been opened for: www and KU.

Jessie, we’ll be sure to let you know what a good time the Lambs have Friday Night at Late Night. Does UA even have an event like this? I bet you wish you had guys like Beal, Barnes, Lamb, Selby, etc coming into your building this weekend. It’s amazing…all of this is taking place at Gangster U. Maybe you should try pimping that KU video some more?
By the way, Worldwide Wes has nothing to do with KU. And it’s not about Cal…it’s about Nike.

Big Ben / October 13, 2009
UA does indeed have a late night. When Lute was in his prime in the 90s it was a pretty entertaining late night. I’m not sure if Miller can bring them all the way back or not (not sure he was the right choice to replace a legend), but the UA job is a very good job as long as the Bohemith in Tempe doesn’t try in basketball.
I was thinking that part was changing, which would completely destroy the post-Lute UA program, but Sendeck simply isn’t recruiting well enough to convince me (yet at least).
Anyway, disrespect the moron all you want, but the program could very well return to relevance under Miller (even if the style makes your eyes bleed).

Woody,
KU has some nice players scheduled for Midnight madness.
But, please NO MORE FIGHTS, drinking, car accidents, a so-call sale of vechicles?
But, you make a statement about www , LMAO
“By the way, Worldwide Wes has nothing to do with KU. And it’s not about Cal…it’s about Nike”.
Yes, www needs Cal. No doubt. (www needs a coach)
YOU must NOT know about the relationship of www and Nike.
This is why I mentioned – Oregon Ducks.
Lets see if JS goes to KU….the door has been opened.
Note: AZ,
I see that a small dog was thrown a small bone.
The Angel unofficial visit info.
If you have another bone, throw it to Gaz.

The funny part about this whole thing is that Jessie (and conspiracy theorists like him) think Selby decommitted from Tennessee because WWW has him set to receive a Nike deal. Problem, of course, is that it seems like Kansas, an Adidas school, now leads for Selby over 1 Nike school (UK) and 1 Adidas school (Cuse). It seems like if he was ‘in the bag’ for Nike he’d have Oregon, Villanova, UConn, Mich St, etc on his list instead of 2 Adidas schools and 1 Nike school.
/
RockChalkWoody / October 14, 2009
Jessie, I do know about the relationship. I’m pretty sure that’s why I said it’s about Nike. Do you read what anybody else says?
“Nice players” visiting for Late Night? Yeah, Barnes, Beal, Selby, Lamb, etc. are pretty “nice” ballplayers.

He’ll get to work out for Cal …..if he ‘s not up to Cal’s standards ….then the secondary programs will be allowed to bid for his services. Welcome to the new college basketball reign of Kentucky and basketball’s top coach …..get used to it .

Big Ben / October 14, 2009
Besides being a general moron, pastaboy also doesn’t understand NCAA recruiting rules. Though I guess we are talking about Cal so maybe those aren’t so important.
