Former St. John’s forward JaKarr Sampson signed a two-year deal with the Denver Nuggets.
The second year is non-guaranteed, a source said.
“It’s a great opportunity here… I’m just ready to get to work,” Sampson said.
The 76ers released Sampson to create roster space for Joel Anthony, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical, who broke the news.
In 47 games this season with Philadelphia, Sampson averaged 5.1 points and 2.7 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game. As a rookie last season with the 76ers, Sampson saw action in 74 games, averaging 5.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 15.3 minutes.
