The 6-foot-4 Word of God Academy (N.C.) guard saw the Rebels beat San Jose State, 64-61, on Wednesday and took the above picture with interim head coach Todd Simon and assistant Ryan Miller, the lead recruiter on Alkins.

After taking an unofficial to Arizona late last month, Alkins began an official visit to the Pac-12 school in time for the Wildcats to host UCLA on Friday.

It will be the third official visit for the 6-foot-4 Brooklyn guard following trips to St. John’s and to UNLV.

Alkins is currently working with a list of nine schools: North Carolina, N.C. State, Arizona, Louisville, Kentucky, Kansas, UNLV, St John’s and Indiana.

BOLDEN HASN’T CUT LIST

Despite reports to the contrary, Marques Bolden has not cut his list to four schools, his father told SNY.tv.

Several reports indicated the 6-foot-10 big man from DeSoto (TX) had cut his list to Duke, Kentucky, Oklahoma and TCU.

“Nothing has changed in the past month or so,” Melvin Bolden told SNY.tv. “We have not added or dropped any schools.”

Melvin Bolden declined to provide a list of schools for his son, saying they preferred to keep it private for the time being.

The McDonald’s All-American big man is thought to be considering Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Oklahoma, Alabama and TCU, possibly with others as well. He has taken officials to Duke, Kentucky, Kansas and Oklahoma.

“I am still unsure and have a lot of doubts in my head,” he told Rivals.com in the fall. “Knowing I still had those doubts I didn’t want to sign until I’m sure.

“I could really watch teams play more and see where I fit in. Also I could continue to talk to each staff and see what kind of relationship I can develop with them.”
