Former Ole Miss commit Josh Hubbard pledges to Mississippi State

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Class of 2023 four-star guard Josh Hubbard has committed to Mississippi State after obtaining a release from his Letter of Intent from Ole Miss in the wake of the coaching change..

“Mississippi State is a great program with great coaches that have built a relationship with my family and they believe in me,” ” he told ZAGSBLOG.

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound point guard from Madison-Ridgeland (MS) Academy chose Ole Miss over in-state rival Mississippi State back in September.

He is ranked by the On3 Consensus as the No. 19 point guard and the No. 106 overall prospect in the class of 2023.

“My role will be to score and facilitate,” he said. “It will prepare me [for the next level] with the style of play and knowledge around me.”
