Arizona State takes down No. 7 Arizona on wild buzzer beater finish

By CHARLIE PARENT

Arizona State upset No. 7 Arizona 89-88 on Saturday off of a Desmond Cambridge halfcourt heave that fell for the Sun Devils at the buzzer.

Cambridge finished with a game-high 19 points, including his prayer shot as time expired in a win Arizona State (20-9, 11-7 PAC 12) needed to get if they have any hopes of making the NCAA Tournament.

The Sun Devils have two more chances to earn some serious resume builders as they travel to No. 4 UCLA on Thursday and host USC next Saturday to close out the regular season.
