Florida’s Colin Castleton suffers broken hand

By CHALIE PARENT

Colin Castleton, Florida’s leading scorer and rebounder, suffered a broken hand in Wednesday’s 79-64 win against Ole Miss.

The 6-foot-11 big man was vying for a spot on the All-SEC first team is averaging 6.5 points (third in the SEC), 7.9 rebounds (sixth) and 3.0 blocks (first).

He earned All-SEC second team honors last season averaging 16.2 points and 9.0 rebounds.

Castleton will be out for the year, as Florida (14-12, 7-6 SEC) sit in the 8-seed in the SEC and potentially on the bubble of the NCAA Tournament.
