The John Wooden Award for the most outstanding player released their late season watchlist of the top 20 frontrunners. The list is highlighted by Purdue’s Zach Edey, Gonzaga’s Drew Timme, and North Carolina’s Armando Bacot.
Alabama star freshman Brandon Miller, who leads the SEC in scoring, and Duke’s Kyle Filipowski are the only two freshman to make the list.
Kansas State’s Keyontae Johnson and Markquis Nowell, along with Penn State’s Jalen Pickett, made their debut on the Wooden Watch List, while Kansas State duo are the only nominees from the same school.
The list also includes Detroit Mercy’s Antoine Davis, Memphis’ Kendric Davis, Indiana’s Trayce Jackson-Davis, UCLA’s Jaime Jaquez, Jr., TCU’s Mike Miles, Jr., Iowa’s Kris Murray, Houston’s Marcus Sasser, N.C. State’s Terquavion Smith, Arizona’s Azuolas Tubelis, Kansas’ Jalen Wilson and Miami’s Isaiah Wong.
