Tobias Harris plans to cut his list of schools down to five after his home visit with UConn on Wednesday.
“We’re going to think about it for a week and then a week later we’re going to cut it down,” said Torrel Harris, Tobias dad. “We’re going to go over everything. We’re not going to rush on cutting it down because everyone came in here with a plan. Everybody came in with a plan.”
UConn will be the final school of a group of 11 to come in and make its presentation.
WROTEN TEARS ACL
Tony Wroten, Rivals’ No. 2 point guard in the Class of 2011, tore his ACL while playing in his first organized football game since seventh grade and is expected to miss the upcoming basketball season.
“The last time I heard from him, which was [Friday], I think he’s supposed to have surgery next Friday and then go from there,” Seattle (Wash.) Garfield football coach Anthony Allen told The Seattle Times.
Typical recovery from ACL surgery takes 7-9 months, meaning Wroten would miss basketball season if he went through with it.
“We talked several times during the course of the day and he was in very high spirits,” Allen said. “We were sort of teasing each other and I said I wish he would get some crutches or something. He’s in remarkable spirits.”
Wroten is being recruited by Louisville, Villanova, Syracuse, St. John’s and Seton Hall and recently told me Syracuse was his favorite.
