NCAA odds: Houston, UConn the favorites

By ROB ROSE

The new year has brought new odds to win the NCAA Men’s Basketball championship.

BetOnline.ag released its updated odds on Monday and the team picked to win it all was Houston.

The No. 2 Cougars (14-1) and are 8/1 to win the NCAA Tournament. Houston’s only loss was to Alabama earlier this year.

Coming in second just behind them is UCONN. The Huskies (14-1) were 11/1 to win it all while being ranked No. 4 following their loss Saturday to then-No. 22 Xavier.

Despite being he No. 1 team in the rankings, Purdue has better odds than Houston and UCONN. The undefeated Boilermakers (13-0) are 16/1 to win the title.

Along with Purdue, Kansas, Texas and Tennessee are all 16/1. No. 5 Arizona sits at 14/1. No. 9 Gonzaga has 18/1 odds.

No. 7 Alabama is 22/1 to capture a championship, while No. 13 Arkansas was the only team outside the top 10 listed at 28/1.
