Class of 2023 forward Ladji Dembele is down to 3 schools

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Ladji Dembele, the 6-foot-9 forward from St. Benedict’s Prep and the NY Rens Nike EYBL program, is down to three schools, he tells ZAGSBLOG.

Dembele is considering Rutgers, Iowa and Wake Forest.

He is no longer considering Seton Hall, Pitt and DePaul, among others.

He has visited Iowa and Wake Forest officially, and Rutgers unofficially. He will attend the Rutgers men’s basketball game Saturday and then make his decision over the weekend.

“Laj is a terrific player, strong, athletic and versatile,” St. Benedict’s coach Mark Taylor said. “He’s 6-9 and can post up and finish strong and extend the defense with the 3 ball.”

The NCAA Early Signing Period runs Nov. 9-16.
