George Washington lands Class of 2023 guard Trey Autry

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Trey Autry, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound Class of 2023 shooting guard from Western Reserve Academy (OH), has committed to George Washington.

Autry, the son of Syracuse assistant Red Autry, also visited Rhode Island and considered Cincinnati and Fordham.

“GW is graduating some guys so there is great opportunity for me to come in, compete, play and contribute,” he said earlier this summer. “They really focused on an overall plan that will help me to develop my game in specific areas.”

As for his skillset, he said: “I’m a pretty good defender, I’m pretty athletic, I got a high IQ. I’m a really good 3-point shooter and a scorer. I’ve developed into a pretty good leader. I like to encourage all my teammates and I’m pretty high-intensity, high-level guy.”
