Class of 2023 four-star forward Zayden High of Arizona Compass Prep committed to North Carolina on Sunday.
Ranked the No. 12 power forward nationally by 247Sports.com, the 6-foot-10, 215-pound High also considered Arkansas, Michigan, Texas and Villanova. He visited North Carolina earlier this month.
“I just felt like it was home right when I stepped on my campus on my official visit,” he said on ESPN.
“Coach [Hubert] Davis treated me and my family well out there so it was just only a matter of time.”
He added: “Just the name North Carolina and I don’t know, it was just a good school for me.”

He joins five-star Roselle Catholic (NJ) point guard Simeon Wilcher in North Carolina’s 2023 class.
“Zayden is a 6’10 forward that can shoot the three ball, put the ball on the floor, rebounds really well for his position and he’s an incredible teammate,” said AZ Compass Prep assistant Pete Kaffey.
