Mizzou lands 4-star Class of 2023 forward Trent Pierce

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Trent Pierce, the 6-foot-9 four-star Class of 2023 forward from AZ Compass Prep and Team Griffin, has committed to Missouri.

Ranked the No. 21 small forward in his class per 247Sports.com, he also considered Oklahoma State, Minnesota, Illinois, Florida and Oklahoma.

“I will be taking my talents to the University of Missouri and I think I can bring a lot to the table because of my versatility,” said Pierce, who visited Missouri in late June. “I can shoot the ball really consistently and can guard multiple positions.”

Pierce joins Georgia Stars point guard Anthony Robinson in coach Dennis Gates’ 2023 recruiting class.

“Trent Pierce is a 6-9 versatile forward that can play the 3/4,” said AZ Compass Prep assistant Pete Kaffey. “He’s an elite shooter, can create his own shot on the perimeter, has great basketball IQ, is a good rebounder and can guard multiple positions.

“I believe with strength added to his 6-9 frame Trent could be an NBA player sooner than later. His skill set is crazy for his size.”
