Syracuse adds 6-foot-11 ex-Duquesne big man Mounir Hima

By ADAM ZAGORIA

After losing big man Frank Anselem to Georgia, Syracuse added ex-Duquesne big man Mounir Hima.

The 6-foot-11 native of Niger averaged 1.9 points and 2.8 rebounds as a freshman at Duquesne. He played at St. Benedict’s Prep (NJ), which also produced Syracuse big man Bourama Sidibe.

Syracuse also has a six-man recruiting class featuring point guard Quadir Copeland, combo guard Judah Mintz, small forwards Chris Bunch and Justin Taylor, power forward Maliq Brown and big man Peter Carey.

Head coach Jim Boeheim previously called it the class the “best we’ve ever had.”
