By ADAM ZAGORIA

Virginia Tech transfer Nahiem Alleyne will announce his future plans on Thursday at 5 p.m., he told ZAGSBLOG.

“I will be making an announcement tomorrow,” he said Wednesday by text.

The 6-foot-4 junior from Buford, GA is coming off a visit to UConn this week. He averaged 9.6 points and 2.8 rebounds this past season while shooting 37 percent from deep for the Hokies, who won the ACC Tournament title. As a sophomore, he averaged 11.1 points and 2.6 assists and shot 41 percent from deep.

A number of other schools have been involved for him as well, including Memphis, Texas, Texas Tech, Georgia and Georgia Tech.

UConn saw three guards transfer out in Corey Floyd Jr., Jalen Gaffney and Rahsool Diggins (UMass), as well as forward Akok Akok, who this week is visiting Georgetown and Pittsburgh.
