Bracketology: Lunardi Now Has 8 Pac-12 Teams in Big Dance

N

The Pac-12 is the big winner in the latest edition of Joe Lunardi’s Mock NCAA Tournament Bracket.

Lunardi has 8 Pac-12 teams in the Big Dance, up from 6 last week: Arizona, Oregon, USC, Utah, Cal, Colorado, UCLA and Washington.

The Big 12 and ACC each have 7 teams, the Big Ten 6 and the SEC and Big East 4 apiece.

Kansas, Oklahoma, Michigan State and Maryland remain the No. 1 seeds.

The 2 seeds include Xavier, Kentucky, Villanova and North Carolina.

The 3 seeds feature Duke, Virginia, Miami and Providence.

The 4s are Iowa, Arizona, Iowa State and West Virginia.

The MAAC would currently have two teams, with Monmouth getting in as an at-large and Iona as the presumed conference champ.

LSU and projected No. 1 pick Ben Simmons remain out of the current field.

From the tri-state area, UConn, Iona, Princeton, Monmouth and Wagner are all currently on Lunardi’s board, with Monmouth and Wagner both set for play-in games in Dayton.
