Austin Grandstaff has found a new home.
The 6-foot-4 Ohio State transfer is headed to Oklahoma, his father confirmed to SNY.tv. He will be eligible in December.
“We love Coach [Lon] Kruger and love the development if the guards that they have,” Wes Grandstaff said. “They have been here for four years. They are way different than when we saw them as freshmen.”
Oklahoma was one of many schools to offer Grandstaff out of high school in Texas.
His father said they also considered SMU.
Grandstaff is transferring becausing he wasn’t getting enough playing time at Ohio State, where he averaged 4.4 points in 11.5 minutes in 10 games this season.
