Ryan Dunn, the four-star small forward from the Perkiomen School (PA) and the NY Jayhawks, committed to Virginia on Saturday, he told ZAGSBLOG ahead of his public announcement.
Ranked the No. 26 small forward in the Class of 2022 by 247Sports.com, he also considered Boston College, Minnesota, Georgetown, Maryland, Oklahoma State, South Carolina and Pittsburgh.
“I will be going to the University of Virginia,” Dunn said. “I really enjoyed the campus and meeting the coaches and the players. I thought it will be a place i can see myself.”
As for what skillset he will bring, he said, “I’m a versatile player. I can bring a lot on offense and defense. I’m a team player and try to get everyone involve before myself, I’m an energy-giver.”
He joins shooting guard Isaac McKneely and small forwards Leon Bond and Isaac Traudt in Virginia’s 2022 class.
“At 6’7 Ryan is prototypical big guard,” NY Jayhawks director Jay David said. “He guards 1-3,,rebounds above the rim and has high-level athleticism. “He shoots at a high level and has high IQ.”
