Duke lands five-star Class of ’23 guard Caleb Foster

By TOBIAS BASS

Caleb Foster, the No.13 overall prospect in the Class of 2023 according to ESPN.com, committed to Duke via Twitter on Thursday.

The 6-foot-5, 180 pound guard from Oak Hill Academy (VA) is the No. 3 point guard in the class of 2023 and is the Blue Devils first commitment for the class.

Foster was also considering Auburn, Virginia, Stanford, Wake Forest, Louisville, Clemson, and Charleston.

“Caleb is a pass-first point guard,” legendary Oak Hill Academy coach Steve Smith said. “He has great size and can get in the lane, create, finish, and knock down open threes. He shot 49% from three last year as a sophomore. He has a great feel for how to play the point. Had 30 turnovers in 30 games last season. His turnover/assist ratio was 7 to 1.”
