Four-Star forward Tyler Nickel commits to UNC

By JACOB POLACHECK

Tyler Nickel, the nation’s No. 75 overall prospect in the class of 2022, has committed to North Carolina, he announced Wednesday.

The 6-foot-8, 210-pound small forward from East Rockingham (VA), chose North Carolina less than a week after taking his official visit to Chapel Hill from Sept. 10-12.

Nickel also took an official visit to Virginia Tech in early September with Butler, Iowa and LSU rounding out his top five.

He joins a loaded 2022 North Carolina recruiting class that features four-star center Jalen Washington, four-star guard Seth Trimble and three-star center Will Shaver.
