By JACOB POLACHECK

Jai Smith, the 6-foot-10, 237-pound power forward from Word of God (NC) Christian Academy, took his first official visit to Memphis over the weekend (June 4-6).

“It was great,” Smith told ZAGSBLOG Monday. “Definitely top notch.”

Smith said his favorite part of the visit was eating at the FishCo with head coach Penny Hardaway and his son Jayden.

“They love my game,” Smith said. “Penny would’ve loved to play with a player like me.”

Ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 28 power forward in the class of 2022, is in the works of planning more visits.

Smith also holds offers from Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Auburn, Georgetown, Florida, Michigan State, Baylor, Texas, Oregon, Illinois, Kansas, UCLA, USC, North Carolina Central, Tulsa, Ohio, Buffalo, Howard, South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia, Maryland, Missouri, LSU, NC State, St. John’s, Marquette, Wake Forest, Arizona, Georgia Tech, Seton Hall, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Texas A&M, Alabama, Xavier, Houston, VCU, East Carolina, Hofstra, UMass, Oregon State, Saint Louis, San Diego State, Siena and Rutgers.
