Alabama guard Josh Primo declares for NBA Draft, keeps eligibility

By RYAN McMULLEN

Alabama freshman Josh Primo announced he will test the NBA Draft waters while maintaining his college eligibility.

Primo averaged 8.1 points and 3.4 rebounds in 22 minutes during his freshman year in Tuscaloosa.

Primo sprained his MCL in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament but eventually came back for the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

ESPN ranks Primo as the No. 38 best prospect in the 2021 draft class.

Primo joins his teammate Jaden Shackelford who declared for the draft without an agent last Thursday.
