Alabama lands Furman transfer Noah Gurley

By JACOB POLACHECK

Furman transfer Noah Gurley has committed to Alabama, he announced Sunday, giving the Crimson Tide its third new addition this week.

“I’m going to Bama because coach [Nate] Oats and I have a solid relationship from playing against each other,” Gurley said in an interview with ZAGSBLOG. “I’m excited for the opportunity.”

Gurley, a 6-foot-8, 210-pound forward out of Fayetteville, G.A., was considered one of the top transfers available after averaging 15.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 blocks per game for Furman during the 2020-21 season.

He joins four-star center Charles Bediako and Texas Tech transfer Nimari Burnett as Alabama’s third commitment since Tuesday.

The Tide also have commitments from five-star guard J.D. Davison, four-star forward Jusuan Holt and JUCO forward Langston Wilson in its 2021 class.
