Florida lands UMKC grad transfer guard Brandon McKissic

Florida has landed a commitment from UMKC grad transfer guard Brandon McKissic, he announced Friday via social media.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound point guard out of Ferguson, MO, chose Florida over Kansas, Missouri, Saint Louis, Oregon State and Kansas State.

McKissic averaged 17.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game on 50.8 percent shooting during the 2020-21 season. He appeared in 18 games and made 17 starts.

The Gators are also set to bring in four-star shooting guard The Gators are also set to bring in its 2021 recruiting class.

Florida is expected to lose forward Colin Castleton and guards Tre Mann and Scottie Lewis to the NBA Draft while Omar Payne, Noah Locke, Ques Glover and Osayi Osifo have all entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.
