Virginia freshman Reece Beekman hits game-winning three to lift UVA over Syracuse in ACC Tournament

After being held scoreless all game, Virginia freshman Reece Beekman hit a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer to lift No. 16 UVA over Syracuse 72-69 in the ACC Tournament Quarterfinal.

Beekman finished the game with three points on 1-for-6 shooting with three rebounds, two turnovers and four assists.

Virginia senior forward Sam Hauser led the Cavaliers with 21 points on 8-for-15 shooting.

Syracuse was led by Buddy Boeheim, who scored a game-high 31 points on 10-for-17 shooting (5-8 from 3PT).

With the win, Virginia moves to 18-6 (13-4 ACC) on the season and will face the winner of Miami vs. Georgia Tech.

With the loss, Syracuse moves to 16-9 (9-7 ACC) on the season and will await its tournament fate come Selection Sunday.
