Class of 2021 five-star forward Patrick Baldwin Jr. says he’s “75 percent sure” that he knows where he wants to attend college, Jason Jordan of Sports Illustrated reported Thursday.
“I think I know where I would like to go,” Baldwin said. “So, I’m just kinda just sitting on it right now.”
After suffering a season-ending ankle injury in December, Baldwin has spent the last two months focusing on his recruitment.
The 6-foot-9, 190-pound small forward from Hamilton (WI) High School, is currently considering a top 10 of Duke, Georgetown, Kentucky, Michigan, Northwestern, North Carolina, UCLA, UW-Milwaukee, Virginia and Wisconsin.
“I think in a few weeks or a few months I’ll be able to say 100 percent,” Baldwin said. “I’ll take as much time as I would like to.”
Baldwin’s father, Patrick Sr., is currently the head coach at UW-Milwaukee.
According to 247Sports.com, Baldwin is ranked as the No. 1 small forward and No. 4 overall prospect in the Class of 2021.
Baldwin plans to begin running next week for the first time since his ankle injury.
“Ankle is feeling good,” he said. “Because of the boot it tightened up my Achilles so we’re just trying to get that stretched out and strengthened. No rush with anything right now. I’ve got time.”
