No. 1 Gonzaga has added a neutral-site game with No. 17 Virginia on Dec. 26 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
The game is set for 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
This will be the fourth all-time meeting between the programs, and first since Jan. 3, 2007, a 108-87 Virginia victory. Gonzaga holds a 2-1 all-time edge in the series, earning an 86-85 first-round victory in the 2001 NCAA Tournament and an 80-69 win on Dec. 17, 2005.
The Bulldogs, 3-0 on the season before they canceled five games due to a COIVD-19 pause, will face their fourth top-20 program of the season when they face Virginia, following Kansas (Nov. 26), West Virginia (Dec. 2) and Luka Garza and Iowa (Saturday).
The Cavaliers, 3-1 through their first four games of the season, wrap up non-conference play against the No. 1 Bulldogs before starting ACC play on Dec. 30.
Virginia is expected to resume practice Saturday after having had four games postponed or canceled by their own COVID issues, including games with No. 4 Michigan State and No. 7 Villanova.
