Class of 2022 guard Presley Patterson commits to Vanderbilt

BY JAKE LIEBERMAN

Class of 2022 guard Presley Patterson announced his commitment to Vanderbilt on Monday.

The 5-foot-11 point guard from Knoxville (TN) Catholic High School picked the Commodores over Wake Forest, La Salle, and South Alabama.

“I feel like I can be a big part of the program,” he said. “Also, they have great education opportunities, so I can be set after college.”

Patterson is averaging 14 points this season and shot 33 percent from deep last season, when he helped Catholic win the Division II-AA state championship. Former Catholic center Akeem Odusipe is currently a freshman at Vanderbilt.

Patterson is Vandy’s first commit in the Class of 2022 while they are currently recruiting Chandler Jackson, Noah Shelby, Dillon Mitchell, among several others.
