Elijah Hutchins-Everett becomes third recruit to decommit from Penn State

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Elijah Hutchins-Everett, the 6-foot-10, 225-pound center from Putnam Science Academy (CT), is the third recruit to decommit from Penn State in the wake of the resignation of former coach Pat Chambers, his father told ZAGSBLOG.

Hutchins-Everett, who committed in August, joins Camden (N.J.) forward TaQuan Woodley and Newport Beach (CA) guard Houston Mallette, both of whom announced their decommitment plans on social media. Mallette committed to Pepperdine this week.

Hutchins-Everett chose Penn State over offers from Miami, Iona, DePaul and Villanova, among others.

The big man went for 14 points and 7 rebounds last Thursday in a scrimmage with St. Thomas More.
