Basketball Hall of Fame and Gazelle Group Reveal Nine More Teams Participating in “Bubbleville” at Mohegan Sun

As previously announced, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Gazelle Group are collaborating to produce multiple college basketball games at Mohegan Sun from November 25 through December 5, 2020 and have named the space “Bubbleville.” 

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Gazelle Group today announced nine additional teams joining the season-opening multiple team event taking place at Mohegan Sun. Bubbleville Pods Two, Three and Four will compete November 25 to December 2 in Uncasville, Connecticut. Final game schedule, game times and television broadcast details will be released at a later date.

Bubbleville Pod Two will include Delaware (Colonial Athletic Association), Siena (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), and UMass (Atlantic 10 Conference). 

Bubbleville Pod Three will include Buffalo (Mid-American Conference), Iona (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), and Vermont (America East Conference). 

With the announcement of the three games at Mohegan Sun, Rick Pitino and the Gaels have five non-conference games scheduled for the upcoming 2020-21 campaign. Iona takes on New York Metropolitan area rivals Fordham on Nov. 25 and Wagner on December 5. MAAC play is slated to begin December 8, with Iona traveling to Saint Peter’s.

Bubbleville Pod Four will include Towson (Colonial Athletic Association), St. Bonaventure (Atlantic 10 Conference), and Stephen F. Austin (Southland Conference). 

Bubbleville will house several events relocated and reimagined due to COVID-19 and provides a controlled environment with teams and event staff adhering to tribal, government, and NCAA health and safety protocols and testing requirements. Previously announced events taking place in Bubbleville include Bubblevllle Pod One, the Roman Legends Classic presented by Old Trapper, the 2K Empire Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project, the Air Force Reserve Tip-Off Tournament and the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Challenge.
