JUCO forward Langston Wilson commits to Alabama

By JACOB POLACHECK

Class of 2021 JUCO forward Langston Wilson committed to Alabama on Sunday.

The 6-foot-9, 215-pound small forward from Georgia Highlands (GA) College chose the Crimson Tide over Texas A&M, Memphis, Ole Miss, Oregon, Cal State Bakersfield, Iona, Penn State, South Carolina and Alcorn State.

Ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 6 overall JUCO prospect in the Class of 2021, Wilson has accumulated over 40 offers during the course of his commitment.

During the 2019-20 season, Wilson averaged 10.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 0.6 assists on 54 percent shooting.

“Langston Wilson is an unbelievable young man that gets it on all levels of life and deserves the attention he is getting,” Georgia Highlands head coach J.J. Merritt told ZAGSBLOG in August. “His story is one that should motivate every person in this world.”

He joins a loaded class that already includes point guard J.D. Davison and small forward Jusaun Holt. The Tide remain involved for small forward Caleb Houstan and big man Charles Bediako — two Canadians who have played with current Alabama players and fellow Canadians Josh Primo and Keon Ambrose-Hylton.
