Class of 2021 forward Bryce Hopkins has named a Top Nine, per Tipton Edits.
Hopkins, who de-committed from Louisville Aug. 9, is now considering Michigan, Oregon, California, Iowa State, Kentucky, Illinois, Texas, Providence and Indiana.
Since his de-commitment, Hopkins has picked up offers from Oregon, Providence and Michigan, among others.
The 6-foot-7, 220-pound power forward from Fenwick (IL) High School, picked up an offer from Kentucky on Aug. 21.
“I felt great after Kentucky offered me,” Hopkins said. “The basketball program speaks for itself, and for them to be recruiting just shows me that my hard work is paying off.”
According to 247Sports.com, Hopkins is ranked as the No. 11 power forward and No. 41 overall player in the Class of 2021.
Hopkins committed to Louisville last December over Illinois, Indiana, Xavier, Wisconsin, Iowa and others schools. He then re-opened his recruitment after Louisville was hit with a Notice of Allegations.
The NCAA in May hit Louisville with a Notice of Allegations in the pay-for-play scheme involving recruit Brian Bowen that ended up getting former coach Rick Pitino fired in 2017.
The Notice of Allegations covers the 2016-17 and 2017-18 men’s basketball seasons and includes one Level I allegation and three Level II allegations, including one against Pitino, now the head coach at Iona, for failure “to promote an atmosphere of compliance.”
