Hofstra coach Joe Mihalich taking a temporary medical leave

Hofstra University Head Men’s Basketball Coach Joe Mihalich will be taking a temporary medical leave from his head coaching responsibilities.

“We wish Coach Mihalich well during this time and look forward to his return soon,” commented Hofstra Vice President and Director of Athletics Rick Cole Jr.

Associate Head Coach Mike Farrelly will serve as the acting head coach in Mihalich’s absence. Farrelly just completed his seventh season at Hofstra in 2019-20. He spent his first six years on staff as an assistant coach before being promoted to associate head coach in 2019.
