LSU’s Javonte Smart, Darius Days, Trendon Watford to return to school

By ADAM ZAGORIA

LSU got a triple-dose of good news as Monday’s NBA Draft withdrawal deadline approached.

Sophomore forward Darius Days, sophomore guard Javonte Smart and freshman forward Trendon Watford have withdrawn from the NBA Draft and will return to campus. The Days and Smart news was reported in multiple reports, while a source said Watford will return.

None of the players were projected to be drafted according to ESPN.com’s last mock from April.

The 6-foot-6 Days averaged 11.1 points and 6.8 rebounds last season, while the 6-4 Smart averaged 12.5 points, 4.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds. Watford averaged 13.6 points and 7.2 rebounds.

Watford later announced publicly his return.
