Makur Maker to announce college decision next week, names final four

By JACOB POLACHECK

Makur Maker will be announcing his college destination next week, he tweeted Thursday. He will choose between a final four of Howard, UCLA, Kentucky and Memphis.

Makur, a 6-foot-11 center, is ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 4 center and No. 17 overall player in the Class of 2020.

Maker was declared eligible for the 2020 NBA Draft earlier this year because he is 19 years old and one year removed from his original high school graduating class (2019).

While the new NCAA withdrawal date for the NBA Draft is now set for Aug. 3, Smith said they were awaiting an official withdrawal date from the NBA since Maker is not yet playing in the NCAA.
