CAA hires 247Sports National Recruiting Director Evan Daniels

By JACOB POLACHECK

CAA is hiring 247Sports National Recruiting Director Evan Daniels to become an agent in its college basketball coaching division, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Monday.

Daniels served as Director of Basketball Recruiting at Scout.com before 247Sports acquired Scout in Feb. 2017.

Daniels has also worked with Fox Sports as a College Basketball Insider since Oct. 2016.

CAA recently lost college agent Bret Just, while NBA guys Leon Rose and William “World Wide” Wesley left CAA to run the Knicks.

Daniels is part of a trend of college recruiting experts to leave for NBA teams or agencies, including Dave Telep, who left Scout.com to join the Spurs in 2013, and Alex Kline, who went from being a recruiting analyst to working for the Pelicans and now the Knicks.

Former Sports Illustrated writer Luke Winn now works for the Raptors as a scout, while former SI writer Lee Jenkins works for the Clippers.
