Daeshun Ruffin to Ole Miss

By JACOB POLACHECK

Daeshun Ruffin is headed to Ole Miss.

“I wanted to go somewhere I felt the love and [somewhere] that gave me that home feeling,” Ruffin told ZAGSBLOG Wednesday via text. “I feel like I’ll fit in perfect with their system with the screen and roll action.”

Ruffin, the 5-foot-9 point guard from Callaway (MS), announced his commitment to Ole Miss on Wednesday via Instagram. He chose the Rebels over Mississippi State, LSU, Auburn, Alabama and Florida.

According to 247Sports, Ruffin is ranked as No. 4 point guard and No. 37 overall player in the Class of 2021.

Ruffin is the first commit in Ole Miss’ 2021 recruiting class.
